Makala did our engagement shoot, a boudoir shoot, and was our wedding photographer and she was phenomenal! She’s super friendly and does an excellent job of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We did our engagement shoot first and when we got our photos back we immediately booked her for our wedding because we loved them. She does a great job both with the poses and lighting and the editing after the fact. I was a little nervous for the boudoir shoot but it turned out to be a lot of fun and I left feeling so much more confident. Our wedding photos also turned out amazing. She did a great job getting all of the big moments & typical “wedding” photographs, and somehow managed to get some really great candid photos as well (those are my favorite). I cannot recommend her enough.

Makala photographed our wedding and we look forward to using her for all of our photography. She was immediately responsive and so flexible with her time. She is bold and creative. She was always assertive in making sure we got the best shot. She is also extremely collaborative. I don’t have much experience with professional photography so I needed a lot of guidance, but when I had an idea, she immediately set a plan into motion to execute my vision. She’s adaptive and worked wonders with natural lighting. Her work means so much more to us than just pretty pictures. She captured the emotion of an important moment in our lives that we’ll look happily on forever.
